My Values

Before we dive into policies or priorities, I believe it’s important to name the values that shape my passion for public service.

Headshot Simi Akintunde

I once heard someone say: "Values are the lens through which we interpret the world." That stuck with me because it’s true.

My parents raised me to believe that leadership starts with empathy, and that we must never lose sight of the people behind every policy. As we respond to today’s needs, we must also build toward a future we’re proud to pass on.

The values that guide me are simple but powerful:

  1. Empathy over ego

  2. People first — especially families, children, and seniors

  3. Protecting the vulnerable

  4. Preserving community as we grow

  5. Collaboration and partnerships.

These are the compass that will guide every decision I make as a Councillor.

Volunteer

Every effort counts

I am seeking dedicated individuals to join me in my journey towards a better Fort Saskatchewan.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact on our community.
